Senior Back Office Developer

Overview 

OpenYield is creating the next generation automated marketplace for trading fixed income securities. We are a technology forward firm looking for experienced and talented middle and back office developers who share our passion for technology, operational efficiency and trading and taking on a challenge. You will have the opportunity to design, implement, test and deliver on all aspects of the emerging platform, including working on the middle, back and regulatory reporting products, utilizing the latest technology, networking and open-source tools, to integrate with partners and regulators and in expanding our business offerings. This is the chance of a lifetime to get in on the ground level.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of Rust, TypeScript, SQL databases, file formats and networking technologies
• Solid industry experience with trading systems, financial operations, regulatory reporting requirements, file formats, and counterparty needs
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of related work experience, including the design and successful shipping of mission-critical product
• Ability to take on projects and drive them through to completion
• High degree of organization and follow-through with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing

The following experience/attributions are a plus

• Some exposure to other languages and desire to learn them, such as C++

• Demonstrated experience operating/scripting in a Linux environment, working with databases and in working with a large code base

• GUI and API design and development experience is a plus

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $175,000. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
