OpenYield is on a mission to make bonds cheap and easy to access. We operate a fully automated bond marketplace making it easy for broker-dealers, advisors, and asset managers to trade bonds. Our vision is to make purchasing individual bonds as straightforward as buying stocks.

We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Trade Operations to join our team and oversee platform operations, ranging from trade operations to customer onboarding. You will play a key role on our highly entrepreneurial tight-knit team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the trading platform, ensuring the effectiveness of all trade processes such as matching, reporting, clearing, and settlement 
• Manage and streamline customer onboarding processes
• Collaborate with the technology team to develop trade ops services and to diagnose and resolve production issues 
• Develop risk management strategies and reporting to mitigate potential operational and market risks
• Implement controls and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
• Manage relationships with participants to maximize their experience with OpenYield.
• Assist legal and compliance with automating risk and regulatory reporting to ensure the platform adheres to industry regulations and best practices
• Partner with the product team to prioritize enhancements and develop and deploy new features

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Finance or related field, MBA a plus 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading operations with a focus on fixed income 
• Series 7, 63, and 24 preferred or obtained within 30 days 
• Strong analytical skills and technical fluency with data 
• Advanced understanding of the bond market, trade processes, settlement lifecycles, and regulatory landscape.
• Track record for automation and process improvement 
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to develop and implement effective procedures and policies.
• Highly motivated and tenacious individual, with a proven ability to take initiative and work independently and within a team

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $135,000 to $185,000. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
